Good News… Good News
We have our TA!
August 4, 2006
We are VERY excited to announce that we have just received our Travel Approval (TA) from the Chinese government. This is one of the last hurdles that we have to jump before we travel to China to bring home our precious Ruby. There is only one more thing on which we must wait before final travel plans are made. The US Consulate appointment is the last official thing we do before heading back home. It is when Ruby will be sworn in as a US citizen. This appointment must be scheduled in order to know the dates for travel since everything is backdated from that one appointment.
Below is the email we received from our agency informing us of the TA. Be sure to stay tuned for travel dates. As Bette Davis’ character Margo Channing stated in the 1950 movie
All About Eve, “Fasten your seatbelts, its going to be a bumpy ride”.
Dear Families,
I am pleased to announce that we have just received your Permissions to Travel! Congratulations!
Please refer to the email that you received recently for information regarding future travel plans. I will contact you via email once we have secured a Consulate Appointment. Until that time, we will not be able to offer any estimation regarding travel dates, as everything centers around that very important appointment. We will provide you with specific details as soon as we receive the Consulate Appointment.
This afternoon, we will Fed-Ex your original Permission to Travel documents, Power of Attorney Forms, and Passports/Visas (if applicable). Feel free to contact us with any questions when you receive these documents.
Again, congratulations and have a wonderful day!
Sincerely,
Carole Karlson
