Our church family at the Apostolic Lighthouse held a spaghetti lunch fundraiser in Ruby's honor today. We were so grateful for the outpouring of support, both spiritual and monetary.

There were many volunteers who prepared the food, moved tables and chairs, helped the guests, etc. Here is a picture of the dessert and drinks tables manned by several of the young ladies of the church. We are truly blessed to belong to a house of worship where the congregation "practices what they preach".

One of the volunteers prepared a LARGE poster titled "A Note to Ruby" where all the visitors had a chance to write a short passage featuring what they wanted Ruby to read when she is older. I thought it was a wonderful idea and as you can see here, there were plenty of people who wanted Ruby to know that they had something to say. I am amazed at the number of people who already love little Ruby, and we have yet to receive even a hint about her. God has had a hand in this from the beginning.
